Antonios Christou is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Predictive Sensory Motor Lab (PRISM) where he is investigating the genetic and neural bases of human sensorimotor learning . To achieve that he is utilizing sensorimotor psychophysical techniques and he is conducting genetic investigations to identify novel associations between genes, endophenotypes and sensorimotor behaviour in a healthy young population.

I completed a BSc in Psychology from the University of Ioannina, Greece and a MA. in Inclusion and Special Education Needs from the University of Birmingham. I am currently completing my PhD (in Thesis-awaited status) under the supervision of Dr. Joseph McCleery. The primary research focus of my Ph.D. research, is on the genetic and neural bases of developmental psychopathology in normal development, where I utilized electroencephalography (EEG), eye-tracking techniques and genetic investigations to identify novel associations between genes, endophenotypes and developmental psychopathology during early childhood. My PhD research was funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.) with additional support from the School's of Psychology Hilary Green Research Fund.
Aiming to extend my PhD research, I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Predictive Sensory Motor Lab (PRISM), where under the supervision of Professor Chris Miall I am investigating the genetic basis of inter-individual variability in human sensorimotor behaviour and learning, funded by Wellcome Trust.
