Dr Grunfeld’s research focuses on cognition and behaviour in the context of health. She is recognised internationally as an expert in the area of help-seeking, behaviour change and survivorship. Her work has advanced knowledge of how beliefs around illness, risk, and social factors predict timelines of help-seeking behaviours, influence returning to work following illnesss and impact on short and long term adaptation.
