She is also the Director of the (Advanced) Certificate in Mental Health and Deafness. She is a registered Social Worker, and joined the University in 2012. Since then she has worked in mental health and training. She has practiced as a Senior Social Worker, an Approved Social Worker (more latterly an Approved Mental Health Professional), a Practice Teacher and a Best Interest Assessor. Prior to starting work with the University she co-managed a Professional Development Unit, taking particular responsibility for the training and development of qualified Social Workers in adult services.
