Top 10 most targeted UK University by employers
We were ranked 8th in the UK in the High Fliers Graduate Market in 2012 report which identifies which institutions are most targeted by leading companies. The report identifies that Graduate recruiters have put more emphasis on university careers services and campus drop-in sessions during this year’s recruitment campaigns, and less emphasis on advertising in sector guides, local guides and graduate directories.
International Herald Tribune rank University of Birmingham 55th in world in their Global Employability Rankings.
In late 2011 the International Herald Tribune, the global edition of The New York Times, has ranked the University of Birmingham 55th in the world and 9th in UK for post qualification employability. The rankings illustrate the top 150 universities most frequently selected by global employers.

Our Alumni Leadership Mentor Programme offers a number of exceptional students the opportunity to receive one-to-one mentoring from high profile Birmingham alumni (including former Chief Medical Officer Sir Liam Donaldson and Green Wing actress Tamsin Greig) throughout their final year.
