Details
In the 20th century, cities frequently became places of economic, social and environmental decline. The challenge for the 21st century is to create prosperous urban places that are safe, sustainable and environmentally sound. This programme examines the changing pattern of governance in the formulation and administration of urban regeneration policy in the UK and considers how the UK can learn from the experience of other parts of the world.
The programme will appeal to those who want to extend their field of academic knowledge and critical understanding of issues in urban regeneration, as well as to those who are more interested and concerned with policy in practice.
