This module centres on guided self-study whereby students gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of a particular issue in Russian and East European Studies (such as, for example, Romanian politics, the Russian Revolution, the Polish economy) under the specialist guidance of a lecturer from the Centre.
At the end of the module students should

Have developed a thorough knowledge and understanding of a particular issue in Russian and East European Studies

Be able to identify, evaluate and critique the existing body of literature on the subject

Be able to deliver a presentation (using visual aids)
