This module will build on previous epidemiological and statistical knowledge. Through the use of examples, the module introduces you to advanced statistical and epidemiological principles used in public health practice. It includes topics of clinical relevance as well as topics relating to health protection practice.

By the end of the module you should be able to:

Demonstrate how specific epidemiological and statistical principles can be applied in clinical and health protection practice;

Explain the principles of specific advanced applied epidemiological methods and study designs and their practical application;

Critically interpret specific advanced applied epidemiological methods when reported by other investigators
