Clinical aspects of general neuropsychiatric disorders covered in this module include sessions on Parkinsons Disease, conversion disorders, encephalopathies, sleep disorders, CNS infection and autoimmune conditions. The emphasis of the module will be on diagnosis, differential diagnosis, effective investigation, legal issues and multidisciplinary management.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module you should be able to:

Describe the main clinical features of a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders;

Understand the principles of diagnosis and differential diagnosis of these disorders;

Be familiar with investigative techniques;

Formulate management plans to cover biological/psychological/social management;

Understand legal and ethical issues.
