Module Overview
You join a research team and carry out a research project under the supervision of a member of academic staff. You will work independently, though your progress will be closely monitored and you will be given guidance when necessary. You will submit a 7500 word thesis based on the research results. You will have a viva voce with two examiners who were not involved in the supervision of the project. The project supervisor prepares a formal report on performance in the lab, commitment, initiative and lab-book etc.
