Module Overview
You join a research team and carry out a research project under the supervision of a member of academic staff. You will work independently, though your progress will be closely monitored and you will be given guidance when necessary. You will be required to write up your research results in the form of a research report which should be no longer than 5000 words.
You will also have a viva voce with two examiners who were not involved in the supervision of the project. The project supervisor prepares a formal report on performance in the lab, commitment, initiative and lab-book etc.
