The module develops the themes of Vision and Action; Posture and Balance. You will develop your critical analysis of these components of the prerequisite module into the clinical workplace. Student led discussion groups will critically evaluate the 'theory-practice gap' in the assessment and management of neurological patients during rehabilitation. This evaluation will naturally develop as the module explores the issues raised in practice.

On completion of the module you will be able to:

Demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning skills in the assessment and management of neurological dysfunction in relation to Vision and Action or Posture and Balance

Evaluate and further develop their communication skills and neurological rehabilitation manual skills

Justify decision making within the process of patient assessment and management in relation to Vision and Action or Posture and Balance

Evaluate and progress the management intervention in neurological rehabilitation in relation to Vision and Action, or Posture and Balance

Assessment
A poster presentation to demonstrate one aspect of a clinical case history identifying the problems of neurological dysfunction in relation to posture and balance or vision and action. The emphasis will be on strategies used in the assessment (100%).
