Module description
Our dedicated Placements Team will work with you to secure the right work related role for you from work experience with a commercial company or public sector organisation, summer internship, voluntary opportunities or as research support for one of our leading academics. This assessed module will not only secure valuable work experience, but also the support you need to identify your personal strengths - ensuring you are best prepared for life and employment after graduation.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this module you will have had the opportunity to undertake at least 40 hours in a placement setting i.e. a placement with a commercial company or public sector organisation, summer internship, voluntary opportunities or as research support in addition to at least 18 hours contact time with your lead academic or Placements Officer. With the help of your own self-reflective diary you will be able to:

Identify your skills and capabilities

Identify with our Placements Officer key areas that need improvement

Articulate your plans to “close” that skills/capabilities gap

Critically evaluate how successful your plans have been following your placement
