This module will involve the presentation and evaluation of economic data relevant to analysis of the European Union and various policy issues such as, agriculture, regional policy, economic and monetary union and competition policy.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this module the student will have an understanding of the principal features of the economics of the European Union, economic policies that are implemented at the EU level, and the nature and functioning of the major economic institutions.

2hr written examination 75%, coursework 25%
