First year module
Lecturer: Thomas Allen
The first part of this course concentrates on financial institutions and markets, financial instruments (bonds, shares, and derivatives) and financial decision making. The second half presents a number of models, framework and insights for the better understanding of people of organisations. It combines brief introductory lectures on the main topics with an element of guided self-study and web-based learning.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this modules the student will be able to:
