Year abroad - Italian Studies

You will spend your third year in Italy, normally attending one of the Universities with which the Department has links Bologna, Cagliari, Ferrara, Florence, Milan, Padua, Rome I (La Sapienza), Siena, Urbino and Verona (see Interactive Map below) - although there are occasionally places available at other universities.

You may also choose to apply for a post teaching in an Italian school under an approved programme, and, under certain circumstances, a work placement may be approved.

While abroad in Italy, at university you will attend courses and take Italian examinations. Other students write one long essay and submit a language project.

The year abroad, together with second year, counts 25% towards the final degree classification.
