This module spans the year and provides you with first hand experience of undertaking research from conception to presentation of findings. You will have a nominated supervisor and individually tailored support through all aspects of your research. Projects undertaken can be quantitative or qualitative in nature and conducted within the UK or abroad. You are provided with a list of supervisors and projects in the summer before the programme starts and encouraged to work up ideas during the vacation. We are always happy to support students who have identified their own research questions or who have existing clinical or international links they wish to collaborate with. You design your research and obtain necessary approvals in semester one and conduct data collection and analysis in semester two.
