Module description

Students will be encouraged to adopt a proactive, experiential approach to the theory and practice of writing, by engaging with key questions related to the nature of creativity, the ways in which creativity is expressed through 'writing as process', and the rationale behind contrasting 'models' for developing creativity in learner writers. Students will be given the opportunity to translate key elements of methodology, as practiced on levels C, I and H into strategies for self-development and for facilitating fellow students. The students will work within their chosen specialist genre, and will be expected to demonstrate how their learning and teaching strategies are informed by their own past and present writing.
