Module description

This module is mainly focussed on the biology of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. The module will begin with an analysis of techniques (molecular, microscopic, immunological) used to study cell biology. Our study of cell biology will then focus upon DNA replication and mitosis, transcription, translation, the secretory pathway, the cytoskeleton, cell adhesion, endocytosis and endocytic trafficking, cell migration and apoptosis.
