A re-examination and re-interpretation, using primary and secondary evidence of the role of the Central Investigation Agency in the development of US foreign policy since 1945, with respect to strategy, organisations, and operations. This re-interpretation will offer new insight into the history of US foreign relations as well as American politics. Assessment will consist of a 3500-word essay, a group presentation, and weekly participation.
