A course that covers the whole of ancient and medieval history, focused in semester 1 on primary sources. Students will analyse different genres of sources and hone their skills of source criticism both individually and in groups.
In semester II, students will choose a specific theme (eg magic, crime, death, women). The theme will be pursued over both the ancient and medieval periods.
