Module description

This module will present an overview of the archaeological and historical evidence from the Egyptian New Kingdom (c1570-1070 BC). The lecture programme covers this period in chronological fashion from the beginning of the Eighteenth Dynasty to the fall of the Twentieth Dynasty. Within the chronological framework, historical developments, archaeological evidence and artistic output will be integrated in individual lectures. More specific case studies of particular reigns, sites and issues are also incorporated into the lecture programme.
