Module description

To study representations of landscape and nature in art and literature during the era of industrialisation. To examine the responses of landscape painters, writers and theorists to nature and to the social, economic and environmental changes which characterised rurallife throughout the period. The role of landscape imagery in the establishment of national identities will also be a recurring theme.
