Module description

This module builds on the knowledge acquired at Intermediate Spanish Modules I to V. It will teach you to critically analyse a variety of written resources including websites on the Internet, develop different styles of writing and undertake some autonomous research (in the target language) on topics of your choice. Topics should be related issues relevant to the country or countries of the target language. This module will also enhance spoken skills through the preparation of an oral presentation to be delivered at the end of the semester. The written project can either be delivered conventionally (in print) or electronically (as a website).
You will work autonomously on the production of a short newspaper, magazine, website or other type of publication. The group will meet once a week to work on their writing skills and practice their spoken Spanish. Students will be able to see their tutor for individual help at regular intervals. Students will write approx. 1500 words.
