Module description

This module will build on the knowledge acquired during residence abroad. It will develop advanced listening skills in Chinese, will enhance your ability to express themselves in Chinese and will involve them in researching topics of their choice. A major aspect of the module will be autonomous work on the production of an extended oral presentation relevant to their discipline or any aspect of Chinese society or culture, which will be linked to an ensuing debate. The module will also consolidate grammatical knowledge and explore advanced elements of Chinese grammar.

Teaching and learning methods

Practical language classes involving both whole-group and small group / pair-work activities with emphasis on communicative settings, use of visual aids and audio/video recordings, use of language laboratory where appropriate
