Module description

This module will build upon the knowledge acquired in Intensive Ab Initio Japanese I & II. Whereas Intensive Ab Initio Japanese III & IV focuses on acquisition of sound grammatical knowledge and developing aural (listening and speaking) skills, this module's emphasis is reading and writing. The module aims to equip you with good comprehension of written text extracted from authentic sources or semi-authentic materials and the use and recognition of further 250 Kanji. The course will also aim to equip you with language structures and strategies in depth while revising and consolidating past knowledge. You will be given opportunities to work within a group as well as individually.
