Module description

This module is for those who will start learning Japanese from scratch. The emphasis is on the acquisition of basic grammatical knowledge for communicative competence and learning of 250 Kanji. You will develop the passive skills (listening) as well as the active skills (speaking) in daily situation). You will learn basic language structures and registers in depth and you will be given the opportunity to work in a group as well as individually. The course will also aim to equip you with the ability to access the language autonomously.
