Module description

This module aims to develop, consolidate and extend listening, speaking, reading and writing skills acquired in Ab Initio French III & IV.
The course will also help students to develop strategies for coping with French in real-life situations, using a variety of materials: authentic texts, dialogues, short presentations, interviews and simulated radio & TV programmes. Students will be given the opportunity to work in a group as well as individually. By the end of the module mort participant should have reached A2 in all skills.

Teaching and learning methods

Practical language classes involving both whole-group and small group/pair work activities. Students’ active participation is fostered via the use of visual aids, audio/video recordings and the Internet. 3 contact hours a week.
