This module aims to consolidate and further develop skills acquired at A2 Level. The emphasis is on communicative competence (productive and receptive skills). You will be introduced to methods of study necessary for advanced study of Spanish. These include reading and writing techniques as well as strategies for listening. Authentic video and audio material will be used to enhance your perception and understanding of modern Spain.
By the end of the module you should be able to:
Read and understand authentic articles from the Spanish press;
Listen to and understand substantial extracts of spoken Spanish taken from authentic broadcast sources and show understanding of the key elements;
Express opinions on and discuss topics covered on the course -deliver an oral presentation in the foreign language from notes;
Articulate in writing (in Spanish) knowledge about appropriate aspects of modern Spain covered on the course;
Work with a variety of Spanish sources, including, for example, the Internet.
