Module description

This module aims to develop, consolidate and extend listening, speaking, reading and writing skills acquired at GCSE. The course will also help you to develop strategies for coping with Spanish in real-life situations, using a variety of materials: authentic texts, dialogues, short presentations, interviews and simulated radio and TV programmes. You will be given the opportunity to work in a group as well as individually.

By the end of the module you should be able to:
Read and understand authentic articles;
Listen to and understand sympathetic native speakers of Spanish;
Express opinions on and discuss topics covered in the course;
Deliver a short oral presentation in Spanish from notes;
Write formal and informal letters in Spanish.
