In the second Semester students will study two modern prose texts, one from Spain and the other from Latin America; R.J. Sender's Requiem por un campesino espanol, and G. Garcia Marquez's El coronel no tiene quien le escriba. In addition the students take a course dealing either with the history of latin America or with the history of Spain.
