Translation into and from the target language (English) will be practiced with reference to narrative/descriptive and discursive/reflective texts of an intellectually challenging nature. Aural comprehension exercises will develop the ability to understand in detail, and summarise the structure of a range of authentic audio and video materials. Oral expression will be enhanced by practicing the skills involved in making presentations to the whole class on aspects of British civilisation researched through group projects.
