This linked module provides an introduction to the Spanish Language for those students without A2 level Spanish. The aim is for students to attain a level sufficient to enable them in level two to study alongside their fellow students who entered the University with A2 level Spanish. Students are introduced to the essential structures of the language, and are required to develop both receptive skills (reading and listening to Spanish) and productive skills (writing short compositions). They are also expected to learn to express themselves orally with accuracy and a degree of fluency appropriate to their level. It also provides an introduction to Hispanic cultures and societies.
