Political literacy, participation and inclusion are core ingredients of Community, Play and Youth Work practice. This module therefore aims to develop students' knowledge, understanding and ability to form effective working relationships with diverse communities and organisations and to work with people in communities to plan for change and to take collective action for justice and enhanced quality of life for all. Debate will be facilitated on the tension between policy/actions from outside the community whilst recognising that communities themselves are not homogenous.
