Module description

This module aims to provide an introduction to key themes and issues in contemporary Irish Drama (1960-present), to develop an awareness of the significance of Irish Drama within both an Irish and international context and to explore its relationship to social divisions and other cultural institutions. The module will also look at how Irish dramatists have responded to key historical and cultural events such as Bloody Sunday, the Ceasefire and the Hillsborough agreement.
