The module will introduce the students to different approaches to working with, analysing and presenting (in written and oral formats) data. The module will include working with both quantitative and qualitative data from a range of sources and link this with the theory and philosophy of social research. Data analysis software SPSS and AtlasTI) and presentation software (PowerPoint) will be introduced and there will be hands-on opportunities for the student to use these packages.
