Module description

This module will build on the previous Work with Adults A to continue to equip students with the knowledge, skills and value base for working with adults. In particular it will address issues which are relevant to older adults, people with disabilities, people who have mental health difficulties, substance users and offenders. It will give an overview on the policy developments in these areas on the structure of service delivery. The module will provide students with communication, assessment, intervention and planning and review skills and will focus throughout on user and care perspectives. It will encourage integration of research-based evidence from government and other sources to inform the practice of the students whilst on their placement.
