Module description

This module explores how concepts of empowerment, partnership and anti-oppressive practice provide a critical framework whereby to engage with the values, theories, methods and skills that underpin social work practice. There will be a particular focus on incorporating and learning from the perspectives of service users and carers in undertaking processes of assessment and in the planning and delivery of social work support and intervention.
