University of Birmingham academics have been utilising video conferencing equipment to deliver lectures to Year 12 students across a range of disciplines. The technology allows pupils to interact with academics, stimulate debate, get a taste of what studying at University entails and generate excitement about their own academic futures.

We are currently offering video lectures in the following subject areas:

  • Biological Sciences
  • Sport and Exercise Sciences
  • Business Management

Lectures in additional subject areas can also be arranged.

All lectures either underpin the AS/A Level subject curriculum or provide an insight into current issues and debates in that area. Lectures can be arranged to coincide with timetabled lessons, tutorial periods or even over lunch.

If you would like to find out more or arrange for your school or college to be involved in a video lecture please contact David Rice, Student Recruitment Officer, telephone +44 (0)121 414 3208, email d.rice@bham.ac.uk
