Liberal Arts and Sciences is a prestigious undergraduate degree for elite A* or A grade students or those with IB 36 points or higher. With the support of Birmingham’s leading academics you will have the opportunity to design your own programme of study based on your interests and strengths.
If you have a wide range of interests, enjoy exploring new perspectives and relish challenges, this degree will equip you with a breadth and depth of knowledge, and provide a wide range of experiences and transferable skills to enable you to influence our rapidly evolving world.
A typical offer for the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme would require grades ranging from AAA to A*AA or 36 + with 666 at HL and including core/bonus points, as this is a competitive and highly respected programme for high-performing students.
For some pathways, specific A-levels or IB subjects are required in order to demonstrate the required knowledge to major in certain subjects. In some other cases a major can be pursued subject to satisfactory performance in identified first year modules or breadth modules.
We also welcome the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 36–38 points. Standard English language requirements apply for this programme, as with other programmes.
