Year One

This module focuses upon the complementary sciences of Biomechanics, Functional Anatomy and Neuroanatomy in examining the behaviour of the musculoskeletal system in the performance of sport. You will learn the type, structure and motion of bones and joints; the key features of common musculoskeletal injuries; mechanical principles governing human motion; the function of the key structures in the central and peripheral nervous systems. You will also gain experience in analysing human movement.
