Year Two
This module builds on material delivered in Research Methods 1 and aims to facilitate students' capability to produce a research proposal acceptable as the basis for completion of the Research Dissertation module in year 3.
The module will enable students to critically evaluate published research and to design simple research studies. It enables the student to pose an answerable research question; search for, retrieve and critically appraise literature; design a study to address a research question, with due regard to ethical considerations and justifying choices made; and, to identify appropriate methods for data analysis.
