Award Description

The University of Birmingham UK Professional Work Experience scheme offers financial support for undergraduates (except final years) to undertake work experience in the UK in the summer vacation.

Value of Award

Each bursary is valued at up to £800. In addition, one successful candidate will be able to request funding assistance of up to £1,000 through the prestigious Royal Bank of Scotland Award, made available by the RBS Group. Remaining applicants will be considered for the UK Professional Work Experience Bursary. The amount you apply for will depend on the individual circumstances of your proposed work experience. In the past awards have ranged from £100 to £800 to help with expenses including accommodation costs, travel expenses, living costs, utilities bills and insurance.

Eligibility Criteria

The scheme is open to all undergraduate students except those in their final year. You must source your own internship/work experience.
