Module description

This module introduces beginning geology students to the deformation of ricks. It starts with a description of the processes of deformation and the structures formed (faults, folds, cleavage etc.) covers the structural analysis of simple maps, the use of stereonets to analyse structural data and concludes by placing structural geology in a plate tectonics context.
