Module description

The module will start with providing an overview of basic immunology and neuroendocrine immunology. Subsequently, the student will learn current methods in immunology and obtain an overview of contemporary research paradigms in exercise and behavioural immunology. Lectures will address the effects of exercise and psychosocial stress on vaccination responses, and immune-mediated diseases such as allergy, respiratory infections, autoimmunity and atherosclerosis.
