Module description

Ethical evaluation in law and theories about the relationship between law and morality (theories of natural law); conceptual analysis of the inner structures of law and of legal concepts and arguments (legal positivism, including the British positivists, Dworkin, legal realism, and the pure theory).

Teaching and learning methods

The module is taught primarily through 2-hour seminars. The module is assessed by two essays.
