Module description

The course will examine the interface between legal regulation and health care practice. By reference to a series of topical areas it will explore legal and ethical regulatory challenges and dilemmas. Typical issues which will be considered will include, compensation for clinical malpractice, consent and capacity, regulation of medical genetic technologies, regulation of reproductive technologies, dilemmas at the end of life and organ transplantation.
