Module description

North American Cinema (b) aims to develop students' awareness and understanding of the critical issues associated with the study of US Independent and Hollywood cinema. Theoretical topics such as genre, performance, mise en scene, authorship, representation and historical context are explored in relation to a range of texts from US cinema.
