Module description

The module deals with the development and consolidation of anthropology through looking at significant ideas and debates within the discipline. Historical and cultural context is key in the development of anthropology and we look at its theoretical development in Britain, the USA and France through the twentieth century and into the 21st concluding with contemporary debates centred around notions of 'identity'.
