Module description

This part of the linked module examines in detail, with the aid of relevant documents, the conceptual framework within which National Socialism has been interpreted by scholars, the fall of the Weimar Republic and Nazi seizure of power, the political, cultural and ideological aspects of the Nazi regime up to 1939, with due attention being given to the relationship between state, party and Führer; the economy and policies towards labour; family policy and the role of women; and the role of the SS and the concentration camp system.
