Module description

This module examines the development of Modern Britain from c1870 onward. It examines the change in social, economic and political relations in the period, including issues such as labour, the development of party politics, changing patterns of relation between government and people. It examines key themes such as the impact of the depression, the World Wars and the rise of the Welfare State and its later decline. It examines changes in social, political and economic structure and class attitudes.
